Outscored for most of the first three quarters, The Mapua Cardinals strengthened their defense in the last quarter, only making the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals score 11 points. The Mapua Cardinals emerge victorious with a 73-69 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals.
Jopet Soriano led the charge with an impressive 15 points, 1 assist, and 4 blocks. Ferdie Asuncion contributed 11 crucial points and displayed teamwork with 1 assist. Clint Escamis was a force to be reckoned with, tallying 10 points, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. JC Recto showcased his defensive skills with 2 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.
And let's not forget our MVP of the game, Paolo Hernandez, who dished out 2 assists and added 11 points to secure the victory.
Nat Cosejo fueled the Generals with 23 points and four rebounds, together with King Gurtiza and Jp Maguliano, both with 10 points.
On October 11, Wednesday, at 4 PM, the Mapua Cardinals will face a fellow from Intramuros, the Letran Knights, while the EAC Generals take on the undefeated LPU Pirates in the Filoil Flying V Arena.
