The long wait is over as fan favorites “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage,” “Iron Fist,” “The Defenders,” “The Punisher,” and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” are coming home to Disney+ together with the newly-updated parental controls starting March 16.
The addition of the seven Marvel favorites gives fans easier access to all of the Marvel properties in addition to the ones already available on Disney+. This makes “Cloak & Dagger,” and the Sony-owned Spider-Man films the remaining Marvel titles inaccessible on the said streaming platform.
With this, all of the U.S. subscribers are required to update their settings as they need to set parental controls using enhanced content ratings and the addition of PIN for security protection.
In a statement of Michael Paul, President of Disney Streaming, he said that Disney+ became the home of many beloved brands and the addition of the barrage of live-action series brings more from the Marvel brand together. Everything Marvel, all in one home.
Disney+ is known for featuring and streaming Marvel Studios movies such as “Avengers: Endgame,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Black Widow,” “Black Panther,” “Captain America: Civil War,” and “Doctor Strange.” Marvel Studios series including “WandaVision,” “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” “Loki,” “Hawkeye,” and “What If…?” are also streaming on the service. Moreover, previous Marvel Television series namely “Runaways,” “The Gifted,” together with 20th Century Studios’ X-Men-related films and animated series, specials, shorts, and one-shots are also accessible on Disney+.
“We have experienced great success with an expanded content offering on Disney+ across our global markets and are excited to continue that here in the U.S. as well by offering our consumers not only great content with the new Marvel additions, but also a set of features that help ensure a viewing experience most suitable for them and their family,” he added.
With the addition of these titles on Disney+, it’s only a matter of time before the plotlines, the cast, and the characters get integrated into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, the comeback is slowly being set up with the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D' Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in "Spider-Man: No Way Home," and "Hawkeye" respectively.
All of the seven Marvel series will become available in all of the Disney+ regions this year.
Quick Reminder from Disney+: Parental Controls for U.S. Citizens
