Charlie Cox is set to reprise his role as Daredevil in future MCU projects

Welcome home, Daredevil!

Three years after the cancellation of the Daredevil series on Netflix, it has been confirmed that Charlie Cox will make his much-awaited return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as everyone’s favorite avocado and the devil of Hell’s Kitchen, Matthew Murdock/Daredevil.

On Sunday, in an interview with CinemaBlend, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige states, "If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil. Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen."

For months, Charlie Cox headlined rumors with regards to Daredevil. Cox has also kept mum regarding his return to the franchise when asked in various interviews.

Cox’s Daredevil co-star, Vincent D'Onofrio, best known for his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, congratulated him, saying that Charlie deserves it and that he was really committed to the role. Vincent’s Kingpin was recently teased in the third episode of Hawkeye, and he is expected to appear in future episodes of the aforementioned series.

This makes Charlie Cox’s Daredevil to be the third character to be returning to the larger MCU, under the Marvel Studios brand, coming from the now-defunct Marvel Television division.

His rumored future MCU projects include Spider-Man: No Way Home, She/Hulk, Echo, a Daredevil series revival/solo film, and Secret Invasion.

With Cox returning, it’s only a matter of time before other beloved Marvel Television cast and characters return to the MCU.

Daredevil has been saved. Thank you to the #SaveDaredevil (@RenewDaredevil) campaign and crew for their initiative and hard work!
